Learn how to set up and style the Cloud umbrella stand in your entryway for practical umbrella storage and a cheerful decor touch.
Quick answer
Place the Cloud umbrella stand near your entryway door, keep it on a waterproof mat, and store umbrellas handle-up to prevent drips from pooling.
Why the Cloud umbrella stand works for entryways
Its playful cloud shape adds a cheerful focal point without taking up much floor space. The durable plastic construction is easy to wipe clean, and the white color blends with most decor styles.
Because the stand is open at the top, it can hold several umbrellas at once. However, it does not have a built-in drip tray, so you will need to manage moisture separately.
How to set up your Cloud umbrella stand
- Choose the right spot: Place the stand within arm's reach of your main entry door, but not directly in the walking path. A corner beside a coat rack or shoe bench works well. Avoid spots where the stand could be knocked over by a swinging door.
- Add a waterproof mat underneath: Since the stand has no drip tray, set it on a small waterproof mat or dish to catch water running off wet umbrellas. This protects your flooring from moisture damage. Check the mat weekly and empty any collected water to prevent mildew.
- Arrange umbrellas handle-up: Place umbrellas with the handles pointing upward so water drips down into the stand rather than pooling on the handles. This also makes grabbing an umbrella quick and easy. If you store a very long umbrella, tilt it slightly so it doesn't tip the stand.
